5D Mark III in shops in HK

Saw the 5D Mark III kit (with lens) in some shops in HK today. The body-only is still to order, but the kit can be bought over the counter for HK$ 34,XXX, Still no sign of the D800.

Even before taxes, that's pretty much $300 CAD cheaper than most of the stores here in Canada.

Any word on body-only prices? I may pick one up in Hong Kong when I visit China this summer.

Yes but the XXX part of the price is the upper end, I think it was 989 or something but will check later today if I have time. The body only price is HK$ 27,XXX but the guy told me that they do not have shop stock and they need to be ordered. The shop I was at (Fortress) only had the one kit.

I was sorely tempted to get it, but it's lack of autofocus on the video side of things really puts me off. I am considering getting a 28-300 or 70-300 L lens instead, need to check the reviews. The latter is a very reasonable HK$ 4,XXX.
