Long time lurker, first time poster.

I just upgraded from 7D to 5D mk3.

I've only taken 300 images in RAW so far, but generally very impressed, but I have an issue, which was present from day one.

When reviewing the images back on the camera, the image sometimes appears darker when reviewing it back. However if I press play to come back out of playback mode and then go back to shoot mode and then press play again the image appears normal as I shot it. And after downloading images to the computer they are all fine, its just an on camera problem. I guess its the way the camera is rendering the RAW image to display?

This happens about 1 in 10 shots, and just wondered if anyone else has had this problem? I updated to latest firmware the day I got it.

Any thoughts?

The display brightness is altered based on ambient light, and it's a bit slow to update. It might be that when the review image first appears, the ambient light at the back of the camera (where the sensor is) was lower because the camera was held to your face, but when you later press play it's getting the correct reading.
