5D3 stills in video mode - cropped

When I shoot RAW stills in the middle of recording a video, it takes a full image, which I can view in RAW on my computer, but when I bring it into Lightroom or Camera Raw, it automatically gets cropped. Anyone know how I can import these images without having them cropped??

Sorry, but I suppose that I cannot deliver an answer to you, but...

Did you check the internal RAW settings of the camera?
Did you try to edit the files with DPP first? Are they cropped there as well?

That would be my approach.
Maybe here is some clue because of some internal settings, although I’d find it strange.

I don't think there is a way to do this in Lightroom or ACR.

You can alter the EXIF data with exiftool though - for example

exiftool -CroppedImageTop=0 -CroppedImageHeight=3840 imagefilename.CR2

I haven't done that, but I'll make a guess: go into the Develop module and click the crop tool. Maybe it'll let you uncrop it as though it had previously been manually cropped.

Went iPhoto > TIFF > photoshop and it worked. I'm almost disappointed it did work haha
