6D 1.1.4 Firmware upgrade sighted!

One 6d owner got his 6d back from service with the new fw, but we don't know what's changed yet (see http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5530.msg105576#msg105576).

This is your chance to say "I told you so!" after release - vote what the latest hot update from Canon will feature, or write any other items you think will be added in this thread!

No, because imho screwing 3rd party batteries is a given after the last 5d3 update and Canon ignoring any complaints about it.

Hardly surprising when a 1D X battery costs US$ 169. And it is a pretty much must have accessory for most.

Not sure how much the 6D or 5D costs but I am sure it is not cheap.

I concur. If new new functionalities are added, the firmware version will be 2.x.

Maybe they'll fix the WiFi to "Just Work" instead of the cumbersome to set up and wonky once it is set up WiFi as it is currently.

That's pretty mean of them to kill third party batteries. I think I'll skip it in that case. HDR RAW files is not really a feature either, just use bracketing.

To be honest, there's not much in this camera that needs fixing, apart from maybe a GPS timeout.

How about 'SET' button returns AF point to centre one. One of the most annoying features of the 6D - no way to change straight back to centre.
