6D in 'clearance event'

Jessops in the UK are having a clearance sale in which the 6d is included. The big question: is this just a normal sale or are they clearing out stock to make room for the successor? It states 'over 100 lines now reduced online and in store'.
Could just be making space or getting rid of surplus stock but it's the only camera on the clearance...

I wouldn't read too much into this. All they have done is brought the price down to what other retailers such as Wex and Dale Photographic are offering the camera for anyway.

Completely right the price is exactly the same as Wex and Park Cameras. Cannot see the 6D being replaced this year.

I used to work for 'old' jessops when I was a student and when the chief exec had the surname jessop - franks son as I recall...

They were always higher priced than the general retailers, but you were at one point rewarded with decent service and knowlegable staff.

Nowadays as far as I can see it's more about who is good at selling you warranties.

A jessops clearance sale to bring the price down to what everybody else charges sounds about right.
