Yes, it is! Despite what some people say on this forum, I like the narrow DoF when used to good effect like here.

The 7D seems to love a 100mm Macro, particularly my 100mm L. I like the combo better than with my FF body.

I agree. Excellent shot. I also have a 7D and the 100mm f/2.8L Macro. This shot motivates me to get outside and shoot some more. Too bad it's dark out. Though I'll be taking both lens and camera on my upcoming vacation, so hopefully I can get some photos like this.

Care to share what your specs were? Aperture, shutter, ISO, etc? I'm always curious.

I had 500d before 7d but when i got 7d i was very happy because it's very useful and great camera.
