Canon EOS R8 V to be the Full-Frame V Series Camera?

Stacked sensors are over a decade or two old now.
As an FYI, I looked it up and stacked sensors were announced in 2012 and first used in a Sony phone in 2013. They started being used in cameras in 2017. So, to be fair, not "over a decade or two old now" but not exactly cutting edge tech still being phased in as older models age out. Not having a stacked sensor this many years out is clearly a product design choice.

Nice wikipedia search. But, Wrong , wrong, wrong. Stacked devices also called SOCs were introduced in the 1990s. The same technology. Been around for yes, decades. The first "Sony" dedicated "Stacked Sensor" development by Sony engineers began in 2008. Its 2025. Yes, the tech is over a decade old. That's Sony. Other engineers had also been developing and designing Stacked Sensors. Decades ago. Its old tech. Not state of the art or cutting edge. No I'm not going to be "fair" with camera companies slow walking technology. Heck they're still using LCDs and SD cards.

Do some more research besides wikipedia.

Canon's 2007 patent on sensor substrate separation (stacked sensors) is there for anyone to read. Decades ago. We're on tripple stacked sensors and 20 stops of Dynamic range image sensors, Canon and Apple.
