Cheapest full frame bodies from canon

Hey!

I have got a 7D (with a 50mm 1.4), but would like to step into the full frame world, but I am on budget, so I need a full frame canon camera which would cost less than 900$~ (it can be used)

I checked the 1ds mark 1 (classic), but the max. 1250 ISO is just a bit low for me (3200 would be nice)

Probably a 5D classic is your best bet. Check your local Craigslist - there are 4-5 on mine right now in the $600-700 range.

A little more than half of the 5D's rated shutter life of 100,000 actuations.

Well, it's still not close to 100k so its ok I think, at 80k I will fix it, any other suggestions? I am 98% sure about the mark 1

Then I'd highly recommend a used 5D Mark II. It may be slightly above your budget but will give you the best value in the long run as well as the best performance.

Yea, a used 5d mark 2 would be good too, but its above my budget really.. I dont want to spend all my money on 1 camera and I dont need that really really really good ISO perfomance, 5d C is the best for me yet even if I take a look at my future.

I would use the 7D for video and 5d for photos.

Why not sell the 7D, buy a 5D2 and use that for both photos and video?

because I make video and take photo of sport, so I need the 8 fps sometimes with my 8mm samyang and the 60 fps @ 720P and the 5d would be great for landscape, portrait, street photography for me .

My vote is for the 5D classic. There's absolutely nothing wrong with its image quality, and 12MP from FF in real terms is plenty of resolution. It's all Nikon offered until the D800. As Neuro said, 100k shutter life, so it should do you well.

As the 5D classic didn't have a built in sensor cleaner, a used one might need it cleaning. It won't cost much to get a cleaning kit should that be the case.

I don't think there are any other options - the 5D mk II is out of your budget, and if the extra resolution isn't needed, the other tweaks won't help you get better images. And all FF 1 series with the sort of ISO you want will be too much too.

yea well thanks guys, I guess I will buy the 5dc, i found one with 25k expo and 6 months warranty for like 60$ more. They said the sensor was cleaned.

AF and fps are worlds apart for those two cameras for still. I could see the OP needing the 7D for AI Servo

I agree, but it is possible. B&H sells their used equipment with a 3 month warranty... ditto with Adorama. It is also possible someone bought one 2.5 years ago and purchased a 3 year service/warranty plan... and they are just at the tail end of it now.
