OK, so this inspired me to put on some Carbon fiber Vinyl I bought a while ago. The 35, Rokinon and 24-70 only took 10-15 minutes to put on but the 85 and 70-200 took 30 minutes. I messed up the 70-200 and will probably redo it later.

An added benefit besides protection from scuffs and scratches on the hood is it actually causes the hoods to feel stiffer and more solid. My 35 and 24-70 hoods originally feel extremely flimsy and cheap and now actually feels pretty solid/stiff. I'm not imaging things since I have two 24-70 hoods and there is a pretty good difference....

I'm happy that i cause some inspiration! Covering plastic hood with vinyl tape is some kind of cheating or what do you think? ;)
