The impending 5DIII announcement is driving some people stir crazy, and it looks like one or two people need to take a trip down to the pharmacy and buy a bottle of chill pills
As other people have already said, this is a rumour site, otherwise it would be called canonfacts.com. Until an anouncement is made we are all just guessing, no mater what our sources say. But dont worry, Friday will soon be here and then we will know the facts about the the rumours
.
I can guarantee that there is nobody more eagerly awaiting the 5DIII anouncement than me. I have been using a 40D for some years and I have already taken the decision to go full body this year. I am very very excited about the idea. I have the cash and I am just itching to spend it. Hopefully my next camera will be a 5DIII but if the price is too high then I should be able to benefit from a massive price reduction of the 5DII and that is the reason I am waiting and hoping for some news sooner rather than later.
But, hey, lets keep a grip on reality. At the end of the day we all have the comon interest of making images. And, whatever happens on Friday, we will all still be able to take photos on Saturday. I think its all to easy to take technology for granted.
It is so easy to have the mistaken belief that the next bit of amazing technology is the one thing that will make the difference to our images. I have been there, done that, got the T'shirt and taken the photos. In reality the biggest difference between a good image and an amazing one is the human being pressing the shutter release. The very best technology currently available today to help us take better photos are the eye, the brain and imagination.
For those approaching fever pitch I would suggest that you go down to the photography section of a museum and look at the images that were created in the early days with the most basic equipment. Forget about twenty thousand cross hair focus points.
We shoot things using film or pixels not bullets or flames. Lets keep the respect mutual and the love unconditional ;D

p.s. and naming your sources is probably not the best idea in the world. Hey I'm just saying
p.p.s sorry this post is a little light on emoticons
