Rumors: Canon 5D Mark X coming February 28 for $2700

A new testable rumor at Kuaddro.com suggests that the Canon 5D Mark X will be announced around February 28 with a price of $2700. The rumor also rumorizes two lenses, one of which we saw announced last night, the other being a 35/1.4L. [the rumor was written before last night's Canon announcements] (via Foto Actualidad).

With the Nikon D800/D800E now officially announced, it will be interesting to see whether the 5DX has "accidental leaks" left and right so as to grab some of the headlines and discussions away from the D800.

They are referring to a Kuaddro.com post.
Maybe Kuaddro.com just shares what we've seen already via CR... :-\

Everybody's tired waiting. Let's not forget that the decision Canon has to make will last for the next 2, 3 years. They have some prototypes, now they will decide and I'm sure there won't be so many dissapointed.

Regarding price - there is an inflation, financial market is not helping in terms of prices setting. From he perspective of users, DSLR market starts to be more and more expensive business. The highest quality has it's price and I'm sure we'll be finally amazed with the new DSLR.

Yes, we are tired. But I think that we will be pleased with new products. Canon has reason not to put a half-made/half-tested product to market. They want to make it worth upgrading from current bodies/lenses and for new users.

I can see people whining if Canon announce 5D-X with 22 mpx "Why not a crazy high mpx camera, I'm switching to D800 !" and if Canon announce 3D/6D high mpx, 4k capable camera "Why so much mpx ? I do not need 4k. I won't toss 4000 USD for this !". That's why I think they could announce both to please a wider range.
