I find it a little soft at the edges like the 16-35l.
The minimum focusing distance is to far too.
DXO gave it a poor review. It turns heads though.

Several years ago I was out at Canon USA, New York, and got to take a few shots through one on a 1D MK IV in the parking lot. It had a cracked front element, near the bottom, but that didn't affect most of the image. If the price didn't make you pause, the weight would. Would kinda like to see a modern variant but the market would be extremely small.
