Having fun with 6D from 1000D

Bought myself a mid-life crisis 6D & 24-105 lens having had a 1000D for 4 years. Having fun exploring. Exciting and also - wow - lots more options to think about when composing & shooting.

Having spent the money I'm sure I'm noticing the difference in quality. I can't afford not to

Here's me experimenting with AEB (and then combined in Photomatix / Lightroom). (And yes, I know I could AEB with 1000D, but it's easier with 6D as you hold your finger on the shutter and it stops automatically after the 3 shots.) I hadn't thought of AEB on a moving subject before, but why not?

Anyone else tried new things after a massive camera body upgrade and care to share?

I myself bought a used 5D mark II in April coming from an old 10D :-D I wondered why I did not make the change before, but moneywise it was a normal decision... Besides here in Finland taxes adn prices are much higher in general.

I am having a lot of fun. Only having the possiility of shooting at ISOs higher than 400 with relatively low noise is amazing.
It increased the situations in where I can shoot and the quality of the images as well. (Besides, got a 24-70 L).

In fact, if I am willing to purchase some lens in the future, I would rather save for the L versions. Trying to get a 24mm L II at a decent price now... Found one in lensrentals.com but besides that they dont ship tu EU, they may nail me with the taxes in Finland so it is not worth anymore.... but anyway...

Welcome to the club of those who had an old, lower-end camera and jumped up to the higher-end models.

I had the 1000D and within the last six months bought the 5D3 with 24-105 L f/4 and the grip. It was a big hit to my pocketbook, but I don't regret it at all.
