yup it is my first dslr , at first i thought would buy the nikon d90 but i had a doubt well it doesn't mean its not a good camera but still i love canon when it comes to camera and i know it is more expensive than nikon , hmm i want to upgrade my lens kit 18mm-55mm to 18-200 so that i wont change my lens for the mean time because im still new in this photography world ,

I have owned this lens for a month, but I sold it and now I have a 24-105L. I think 18-200 is fair for the price, excellent all-around and family photos in the park. Good sharp, good close-up capabilities. Not so good: zoom creep after one month of intense use between 18 and 135mm.

hmm, i don't know if we have a fair price here at the Philippines, its kinda over pricing specially when it comes to gadgets, the EF-S 18mm-200mm IS here is around 32,000 Pesos, kinda expensive which i bought the camera around 42,500 pesos its like i bought another camera for a lens ,its hard to decide maybe i will try saving money from my allowance at school , 43 Pesos = 1$ , i think the lens there is around 600$ it should be around 25400 pesos only but not , its around 32,000 here. and it sucks

Lenses generally are more than cameras, once you get into photography you will see that spending money on lenses is more important than the body its mounted on. 10mp+ is all you need really for a good A3 print, i am still plugging away with my old 40D because a. i love it, b. it is a great camera and c. there isnt another camera i have thought wow... i need this, the 7d comes close but not quite.
Instead i have spent alot of money on lenses, 70-200mm F2.8 L £1000, 2x extender £250, EFs 17-55mm F2.8 £750, EFs 10-22mm £650, 50mm F1.8 £100 and now im looking at buying a 100-400mm L £1100 and the new 100mm L IS macro £680. The camera still produces great pictures, the glass is more important to me.

i saw the lens 18-250mm i think , its around 24,000 here , if i got 24k i will just wait for a month or 2 months perhaps to make it 32,000 i still dont have a work right now so all i just nid to do is to wait, i dont know maybe i just love canon so much i want the canon lens that bad, we all have a choice what to buy right?
