Involuntary Upgrade

My 5D4 order arrived this evening, and as I was setting up the camera I was puzzled about how to get the touchscreen to work. When I got to the file size setting something seemed really weird...my top RAW setting said 50M. I turned the camera around and realized it has no touchscreen because it's a 5DSR...in a 5D4 box!

Manuals and everything say 5D Mark IV. And it was from Amazon, not some shady overseas or East Coast seller. It appears it's a Canon mistake...nothing was opened, looked brand new. It's also got an odd serial number: 022021000222. Go figure.

Upgrade...or downgrade? Depends what features you value, I guess! Perhaps somewhere else in the land there's another photog. equally baffled with his "5DSR", unable to find the setting to allow the full resolution files!

Make sure you return the empty box, along with a sworn statement about your 5D4 being absent from it and requesting a replacement. ;)

Haha! Then I'll have trouble sending in the warranty card. ;)

Actually Amazon told me I could keep it if I want, despite the $200 price difference.

Pity it wasn't in place of a T3i :)
