Have you considered using "extension tube" or things like that? I heard that for wider lens, it's better to use the tube rather than the filters (as it doesn't introduce more air-glass interface)
I use Kenko Close-Up +3 PRO1 D AC 77mm with 24-105 and 70-200 f4 (with a step-up ring). I spent more money for Kenko (and only for +3) because of AC - achromatic. The image is free of chromatic aberrations and, because of that, more sharp.
i used these which i got from amazon. I was surprised by the quality seeing how cheap they were. I actually ALMOST bought the tube instead. I may go ahead and order the tube versions anyways since they have them for like 10 bucks.
i really wish i had some L glass. then maybe these would be way nicer. still not bad for a kit lens
