Need 7D Mark 2 setting help

I use a CF card and an SD card at the same time...The Cf card is set to record RAW and the SD card is set to record JPEG...My issue is when I go to erase all the images on the cards it will not erase both cards...only one. How do I get it to erase both? Right now I have to remove one card and hit the erase button again??

There's an option to select which card gets formatted.
You need to go through the process twice to erase both cards.

You have to format each card one at a time which will erase the images. You don't need to remove the cards to do this. Just find format card in the options menu and format card 1'then do it for card 2. Very fast and easy.

I know that if I delete the RAW img837.CR2 off the CF card the JPG img837.JPG stays on the SD card. I would appreciate an option to delete the corresponding JPG too.

This is troublesome -we have to do the same thing two times - but useful at the same time: in case of using the cards in mirror configuration (record multiple) when we delete something inadvertently and want to avoid the whole process of recovery we have a second copy available

That thing you are doing, don't do that. Erasing one picture at a time is bad. This will lead to corrupt cards and data loss.

Dump your photos onto a computer and sort and discard there. Put the cards back in and format. Running out of space on a card? Dump your photos onto a computer, and next time buy larger cards. They are dirt cheap.
