Question for Canon 50mm 1.2 lens Owners

I just purchased this Canon 50mm 1.2 lens and just one little thing I'm not too sure on. The lens hood has just a little play in it after i've locked it on the lens. My other Canon lenses lock in with no play whatsoever. Is this normal for this lens hood to have play? If so, I wonder why. :-\

thats weird, my lens hood clicks on perfectly.

I have no such issue and I use the 50L alot. It might be a mashed/broken locking tab.

All my canon bayonet mount hoods are very tight. I suspect a bad hood?

I've called Adorama & they are sending a new hood. Man, I hope that's it. You see, when I put the hood on & it seems to lock good, but what I'm talking about is this......it has a little movement where it butts up to the lens itself, sort of back & forth. , just a little, but it drives me crazy. All my other Canon lens hoods don't move at all. I really don't want to send this lens back, cause I'm having way too much fun with it!
