The auto iso goes only up to 400 ISO. Both 5D3 and 7D goes higher. Am I over looking something ?
Very useful when in manual mode.

It goes up to ISO 3200. See page 58 in your manual. However, there is no auto ISO when in manual mode, that was added in later to the 5D MK III
Now, is it the camera that is stupid?

Ahhhh thank you! So did we find yet another upgrade from 5D II to 5D III? Either way thanks, I just couldn't remember. I suppose ISO safety shift could keep it 100-400, but that's the only thing I can think of at this point. At ISO 3200 the 5D II will perform very well.

In manual Mode, if you set ISO to A(uto) it is fixed at 400. Nothing to do with HTP. This is what he is concerned about.brad-man said:I believe if you switch off Highlight Tone Priority in (CFnII) the auto iso limit will go away...
