So I was at a track meet and was positioned quite a ways from the track area. I had a 300mm f/4L lens and a 1D Mark IV. This event was nearing full dusk, so the ISO was at 1600 I believe in both cases and aperture was turned up to f/5.6. Normally for these shots I like f/11 because I like more of the background in focus than what I got, but I already had the shutter speed down to 1/400s. I did very little in processing, but I did a fairly large crop. I wanted to point this out because the resolution is awesome despite such a large crop. At the time I wasn't convinced I should really go higher ISO with the 1D4, but I guess looking at the photos now, should I have gone 1/500, higher ISO, and narrower aperture? The shot from way across the track was fairly difficult from where I was but upon cropping, looked okay, minus the fans in the background, which I didn't really like how it turned out. Thanks. P.S. If you open the photos themselves you get a full view. Thanks. Edit: I'd like some help here from you guys. You know I'd help you if I could :)
