I almost didn't post this because I'm afraid it will start another firestorm but I thought the video was to informative not to share. Best quote of the video "No clear winner, if you are shooting Canon there is no reason to switch to Nikon; if you are shooting Nikon there is no reason to switch to Canon."

They have also released the 2nd video mentioned and it can be found below. Again, the best part is at the end they say both are great cameras and there is no reason for anyone to be upset with their current set up.

I guess I missed it. Well if nothing else hopefully some of these people that are freaking out about the D800 will realize that despite the lab results...both cameras are amazing.

Wait a second...no they won't.

I thought they were sensible and "real world" reviews. They weren't entirely positive or negative about either camera and point out both of their issues. I liked that they were fair to each.

They also did one where they compared the d800 to a 40mp hassy. That was interesting. They thought:
* Detail was pretty close
* Skin tones / colour tonality generally wasn't as good
* High ISO was MUCH better
* Highlight retention was worse
* Shadow detail was pretty good on both

On the whole, I think if I wanted to get 36MP files I probably would look at a d800. It's a very very cheap way of getting that kind of quality. I just happen not to need that
