Why doesn't anyone stock the Canon Drop-in CPL filter for Canon RF400mm f2.8 lens?

I want to buy "any brand" (unfortunately, Canon seems to be the only one that makes a CPL for this lens). I am thinking of getting this for wildlife photos during our upcoming Antarctica cruise as I expect a lot of reflections from the snow, water and ice.

Unfortunately, no one seems to have it. Have been searching for couple of months now. And many don't understand that a 52mm CPL cannot be simply screwed into the filter holder that comes with the lens. And Canon has made the matter really bad by having the drop-in filter on the EF-RF converter a different dimension!!! Why??? And for that converter, Canon and other brands like the Breakthrough make CPL filters, but that wouldn't work in my lens :mad::mad:

I am hoping that some reader knows where to get one. At the least, others who have this lens or are looking to buy one, know about this issue.

Well, if you look and search on Canon web site, one doesn't exist. I spent at least 30 minutes looking and searching and can find no reference to a drop in filter holder for a circular polarizer for the RF 400 2.8. One isn't listed as an accessory for the lens. But that is Canon's "wonderful" web site. Now if the one that fits the EF 400mm 2.8 III works on the RF 400, I found a used one on the B&H web site. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?q=PL-C 52 (WIII)&sts=ma

I will surely post my views. Even though I received it a few days back, I didn't get much opportunity to test it. I also purchase a B+W 52mm 6-stop ND filter, which fits the drop-in filter holder nicely. Will test that as well. All, for my first trip to Antarctica, at the end of the year, but I will get to test drive it in Patagonia and other parts of Chile before that.

I purchased it finally at B&H as the item was not going to arrive from Japan on time. The Japanese seller on amazon is a very nice guy and refunded me the full amount.
