I do not think third-party lenses ever stopped selling in China.
They have some very loose patent protections.
That is why I always thought it was silly to offshore manufacturing there.
It was in 2022, not even a Rokinon/Samyang RF AF lenses can be found in CN. But somehow after Yongnuo RF 85mm f1.8 "re-releases" in May2023, it's available again. However, they are not allowed to mention Canon & RF in their product description,

The Chinese-produced lens is still available, the Korean-produced lens is not.

That tracks with poor patent protection in China. Samyang/Rokinon are still legally at risk due to where they produce their lenses.

I think you missed the point. It's so strange that Samyang/Rokinon are not selling their Korean made RF autofocus lenses in China despite the "lack of IP protection" in China.
