It appears to apply only if you have already registered your point & Shoot with Canon. i wonder how many people do this/ I certainly haven’t registered mine.
I registered my A590IS, but live in Canada. Doubt Canon Canada will extend the rebate offer to us…
I noticed that you also have to buy it at the Canon Website. You can generally get a better deal than this at a retail store, there are 10% off Best Buy coupons that can be used on a 5D II which is $270 off (Or any DSLR except Sony).
You actually don’t have to buy it at the Canon estore. The claim form says you have to register at http://www.usa.canon.com and that you have to submit a receipt from an authorized dealer.
I was thinking the same thing.
I am ready to upgrade but I did not register mine so I guess I’m out.
Dammit. I bought a 5D2 to replace my G6 last month.
Darn, just got a 5D2. Should’ve registered for my other Canons… oh well.
Wow! Pardon? An theory ! What a conception ! Beautiful .. Amazing
I don’t hang out at blogs much but I like yours. Thanks for the posts. I have enjoyed reading here.
