SIGMA announced the Sigma 16-300mm f/3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary back in February, but there wasn't a defined ship date for the new super zoom for crop RF mount cameras.
The new Super Zoom is an interesting lens with its 18.8x zoom range and the 1:2 macro feature at 70mm, which really adds to the versatility. We expect this new SIGMA lens to be very popular for Canon shooters. Lots of people just want to take one lens on a vacation and that sort of thing.
The lens is quite compact, measuring 121mm in length with a 74mm diameter and weighing only 625g.
