The Canon Cinema EOS C80 and C400 Get New Firmware

Canon has released new firmware for the most recent, and pretty awesome Cinema EOS cameras. Both the C80 and C400 get some new features and bug fixes.

Canon Cinema EOS C400 1.0.3.1

  1. Improves security features. A password must be set initially.
    a.  Adds the ability to review the history of any changes made to the password, network information, or other settings.
    b.  *For more information, please refer to the ‘Setting a Password' section in the Advanced User Guide on cam.start.canon.
  2. Enables firmware updates to be performed when the camera is connected to the internet and new firmware is made available on Canon servers.
  3. Supports the following transmission methods in the CV Protocol:
    -Broadcast
    -Multicast (Same segment only.)
  4. Enables the playback of RAW clips in Media mode with Lens corrections such as Distortion Aberration Correction.
  5. Adds [Track after Focusing] function.
  6. Enables to display below information on [DISP Level 2].
    Recording Format
    Main resolution
    Sensor Mode
    Digital IS
    Gamma/Color Space
    Level (Numeric)
  7. Toggles On/Off each time the button is pressed when using the [Pause Digital IS] function instead of pausing only while the button is pressed, to improve usability.
  8. Fixes minor issues.
