Venus Optics which owns the brand Laowa that is pretty well known is planning to launch four autofocus lenses in 2025.

Laowa launched its first autofocus lens in 2024, the Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D for full frame sensors. As you already know, there is no RF mount version of the lens and is only available for the Z and E mounts.

There is a manual focus version of the Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Zero-D for the RF and L mounts.

Laowa is now teasing that they will add four new autofocus lenses to their lineup in 2025. At this time, there is no information what lenses they'll be announcing or if the RF mount is part of their plans. Laowa does have a selection of APS-C lenses and we think that is probably where we'll see the first RF AF lenses from Laowa

We do know a lot of the Chinese manufacturers will be releasing autofocus RF lenses in 2025.

Laowa has also confirmed that they will release two new tilt-shift lenses as well.
