EOS Bodies / Re: Images for EOS Rebel 750D & EOS 760D Appear
« on: February 06, 2015, 06:23:34 AM »
With the new T6i and T6S  and the S model looking and having a lot of the 70D features.
Do we think the 70D line is short lived?

Why would anyone go to the 70D with the price point and features of the T6S?

EOS Bodies / Canon 70D Buffer speed
« on: September 11, 2014, 02:48:55 PM »
Does anyone have any specs on the Buffer speed for the Canon 70D  whats the Best SD card to use?
I am shooting some fast action sports and want to shoot raw. But the buffer max's out at 15 shot even using a 600x SD card.  I can shoot JPG and the count will increase to 30ish. I know its a smaller size and compression.
Didnt know if using a sandisk extereme pro card 90/90 would help?
Shooting manual with auto iso  and shutter 1000 and F 2.8-5.6

Lenses / Canon 70-200 USM IS L (not Mark II)
« on: May 20, 2014, 10:03:52 PM »
I was in need of a 70-200 Zoom. Could not afford the Mark II.  Found at B&H a Mark 1? with IS and USM   Rep said it was NON US model. Did I error?  Could not afford the Mark II.  Opinion?

Canon General / Should Canon expand the file Seq #
« on: April 13, 2014, 11:26:07 AM »
With all the pictures I take, the camera photo count rolls over.  Sure would be nice if Canon expanded the file count. would also benefit people wanting to know how my shutter releases have taken place??

EOS Bodies / 70D sd card slot obstruction
« on: January 30, 2014, 12:18:57 PM »
Hi Canonites!
I have the Canon 70D since it was released last sept 2013.  I have enjoyed it greatly and have put approx 8,500 on the camera to date.  But over the last month or so I have started to notice a issue in the SD card slot where there appears to be a slight obstruction (metal housing sticking out more sometimes not allowing you to insert the SD card properly. I have the Canon warranty plus extended one from Big box store.  Just wondering anyone else having a issue or notice the metal in the slot??  ANY OTHER NOTED PROBLEMS WITH THE 70d i NEED TO LOOK FOR? Ive called canon and no reported issues from engineering.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: 70D features vs 60D

thanks for the feed back. I am a 60D guy at present.  was just wanting to get a feel of the others out there.
I hardly do any video with my 60D at present.  and I do alot of lanscapes.  Just kicking around the idea of go with the 70D or wait for the 7D mark II.  the newer features of the 70D seem exciting.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 70D features vs 60D

Opinion. everyone is talking about the dual AF feature of the 70D for video. striking that feature are the other features worth the step up to the 70D from the 60D or maybe wait for the 7D mark II?

Ive seen  the Multiple effect used on Nikon from my camera classes

I just saw the builtin HDR on the 5D  III looks interesting to use.  when I saw it I said I wish my 60D did that!

EOS Bodies / Re: Stay with Canon?

Time will tell if this new sensor works out.  but if not can I have your len's ;)

I too saw the manual and skimmed thru it. also it has a AUTO ISO feature.  looks like Canon is adding some 5D/7D/1D features to the 70D.  Wish they would allow the naming of the files with initials  Example IMG = RSB etc.  or maybe expand the file seq to greater than 4 digits.  is this a limitation to the File naming standards?
havING a seq # greater tthan 4 digits would help in future file names  but there is always the DPP software for renames.  OR IMnnnnnn.JPG or CR2   thoughts?
