I think I've decided to go with a 6D.  I mainly used centerpoint AF anyways, so my understanding is that if that's the case, I'm not losing out on any AF performance.  Please correct me if I'm mistaken.  Also the youtube video of Chuck Westfall showing off the wi-fi app sealed the deal for me.

Given the lower price, I might just go with BigValue and not worry about the warranty as much.  If it was the 5DIII, I'd probably care more since the ratio of repair cost to replacement value would be higher.  Not sure if that logic makes sense, but it saves another $250 over Amazon, which seems like at least one paid warranty repair.

Try "The Imaging World" they are an authorized dealer for the 6D and only $10 more than BigValue.

If you're looking for a deal on the 5D3 I recommend using the Canon Price Watch or Slickdeals.net.

You can sign-up for an e-mail notification and will get an e-mail whenever it goes in stock below the price you want.

For example right now authorized dealer "The Imaging World" sells on eBay for $2849 but are out of stock; they go in-stock every couple of days. You also get 2% reward from eBay so your net price is $2795. They are an authorized dealer and their customer service is fantastic!

I snagged my first 5D3 in last September ($2749 - 2% = $2690) from Adorama last September using this price watch only a few days after I signed up for a notification (see that low spike on the graph? that's me  :D). For this deal I also got e-mail from slickdeals.net about it, but after the Canon Price Watch e-mail.

Lenses / Re: I have just lost confidence with Canon Rumors & B&H

I appreciate what Canon Rumors does and all in keeping us updated on Canon happenings, and while I appreciate that CR does need to make money (look at all the ads plastered all over), I have to say that it is your responsibility to check for yourself whenever CR says something "is a deal", especially with Canon and its devious rebate practices.

Just think of it as advertising not unlike the banner ads. If you're okay with the banner ads you should be okay with the paid B&H links. Now it is in CR's right to add these to make his business profitable, but it is in our right to choose to ignore them if we want :)

If you want to do your deal research and watching I suggest you use a real deal website like www.CanonPriceWatch.com (which will show price history including price increases and drops) or www.Slickdeals.net or use the POTN Market Watch forums.
