Have fun with your new optic.
One day, after saving a bit (lets say- two years) I buy a 300/2,8 too.
Till then: only small items, like the fourth 600RT....

I needed it, really! The first three are incomplete without it!

If you can afford it, go for the IS- version.
You will have a lot higher percentage of keepers.
Ahhh! The  sweet pain of choice.

What a nice experience......

I fear the day when I change my system and have to migrate my stuff (CS6 only by now).
So what: so I keep my hardware longer!!!

I hope you got everything going again!

In ten years I hope I still have the passion like today.

New tools?
Yes please! Whatever it may be.

(the radio triggered flashes from Canon where a surprise and very welcome- something like that I hope!)

EOS Bodies / Re: "Two New FF Bodies in 2014" - if 5DM4, would you jump in?

My wishlist is not long:
a faster SD- interface or double CF.
and an increase of the buffer size. 6 or 7 with RAW + jpeg is a joke.
combined with the slow SD a real PITA.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Canon 5dmk2 - weak usb connection - options?

You already mentioned all possibilities.
And I would recommend not to move a thing when it is connected by USB.
To be on the safe side get the WiFi.

Dear Mt. Spokane!
Didnt want to be offensive.
But I miss the news.
The implementation in a (........) is not something that pulls my shoes off.
And a thing I always find very suspicious: in the article the things it can do are repeated a little bit to often.

I lately read an article about how they could read your thoughts by an MRT- that was new, and a bit frightening.
Best wishes, and always good light

Canon General / Re: Upgraded - Sell old equipment?
« on: November 29, 2013, 01:26:09 PM »
Very personal decision.
I can understand persons not to sell one piece because of its history.
Sentimental. Sigh.
I sold everything I didnt need anymore.
Was easy, because I sold it to people I know.
So I see their second life and bringing joy to them.

Although I like the look of it, I prefer the modern interface.
For example: I would miss the exposure +/- on the big wheel on the back.

None of them.
Way too early for both.
A high MP in 2014: maybe.

I once ordered one from Fuji.
The version which is flat if opened. So a panorama is laying flat over the two pages. Nice.
(was it called "crystalclear"?)
Be very careful about the color management- although they say they respect it I would only use sRGB in the final results.

Sorry to have no more information.

Good luck!
