@ eml58:
Thanks for the very detailled information.

Bei der AE-1 und der T-90 werden Erinnerungen wach......
Insbesondere die T-90 hat mich ein gutes Jahrzehnt begleitet, hatte 2 davon.

Willkommen und viel Spaß!

If she is interested (and this is valid for every craft or hobby) I would offer her to take a look at her results.
She then shoots, what she likes and you can offer her some hints how to make it different, better, or what gear would help.
To learn about basics like aperture or shutterspeed: same. She can choose a book or a class.
I would do it laissez-fair.
If someone is interested in something, he will talk about it.
So for you.
Have fun!

ThinkTank Digital Holster 50 v2.
I have it, and like it a lot.
You can have a pro- body with a 70-200/2,8II AND the TC 1,4 attached AND the hood is in position.
If you like to have it smaller, you can zip it down.
You can carry it around the shoulder, or carry it like a baby in front.
Nice holster.

I like third party producer for their different lenses.
And I hope, it will be a good one.
If so, and I am not in a hurry, I wait for comparision between this and the newer version of the 100-400L.
Ah, good times.....

Yes. Very nice and easy to use.
No messing around with 3rd party- solutions.

Software & Accessories / Re: Another Stupid Question about Format CF.

Dear Suprapon!
As far as I know, you should format the CF- card IN the camera, before you use it.
I had no problems using with 300D, 50D, 1D4, 5D2, 5D3; the SD using 1D4, 5D3 and the Sony RX100.

I dont know if this is going back.
After using 2 T90s in the late 80s and the whole 90s I discovered at the beginning of the 90s the Olympus RD35 of my mother, collecting dust in a locker. Must have been there for about 10 or 15 years.
Loved to use it. Small, moderate 40mm with an 1,7 aperture. Silent, like a Leica.

Buy a 5D3 now.

Hm. Whatever will come, it has to work.
Sure more people are now have the possibilities to make pictures, but this also can be the start of an heavier addiction.
And show me a smartphone with the possibilities of off camera flash. Or AF- tracking. Or shallow field of depth.
Or the sharpness of a "real" lens.
Did I forget something.
We all will see.

Depends on your quality demandings.
6400 is usable, 12800 is used once and was surprised, how clean the files have been compared to the ISO.
Check it out for yourself.
Have fun and good luck!

In a shop they always try to sell you something.
Your lenses are "usable". ;)P
