EOS Bodies / Re: Canon EOS 6D Specs Leaked?

All, 500D + 100mm F2.8, freshly shot around our condo.  It just reminds me how fortunate I am to have a DSLR that works.
Nice pics, wrong topic :D

Yup 13 is bad luck in the West and 14 bad luck in China.
14 bad luck in China? Maybe you mean 4?

This is probably fake, but if true the max price would be $1.5k.

I agree.. 1500 MAX!

Custom firmwares is the best thing that ever happened to Canon cameras!
I absolutely love ML 2.3 on the 5d2.
I even love 400plus on my XTi. It gives PROPER auto-ISO and a bunch of other cool stuff like spot metering, fully customizable intervalometer, bracketing (3-9 shots), long exposures from 15 seconds to 100 minutes.. the list goes on and on...

Plus ML is open source and constantly evolving.

Canon 10-22 or Tokina 11-16. Don't bother with the others.

I guess something between 350-450€ is ok for 550d?

EOS Bodies - For Stills / How much for a USED 550d (or 600d)?
« on: September 06, 2012, 04:11:26 PM »
How much would you give for a used 550d (or 600d) in good condition (fully operational, possibly with some cosmetic wear)?
I'm worried that my 400d will need a repair soon. You see I have passed 100.000 actuations and I get some random error 99 messages.
I believe that it's better to buy a new camera, rather than give 100-150 euros to repair my XTi.

I wish I could afford a 650d (love the touchscreen and burst rate) but it costs way too much for me now (750€ in Greece).
So I've gotta settle with something cheaper unless my XTi can make it till Easter 2013...

For street photography I use a Canon S5 IS from waist level. Nobody seems to notice it or care about it. If I feel more comfortable in the area I'm shooting, then  I use my Rebel XTi with the Jenna Zeiss 35mm or the 50mm Planar.
I don't want to use anything bigger because people gets defensive, sometimes aggressive and not cooperating at all :D

If you don't mind me asking how do you like your Zeiss 50mm? is it the f/1.4? would you recommend it over the Canon or Sigma f/1.4's?

I'm in the Market for a good 50mm and those three are my options.
You are correct. It is the f/1.4 Planar T* (contax mount).

Wide open it gives a very pleasing bokeh, the colors are a bit on the warm side and there is a very nice softness (not in a bad way) in the picture. Stop it down a bit (from 2,8 and on) and you have razor sharp results and great contrast.

I like it more than the Canon 1.4. I haven't used the Sigma though..

So you don't carry a 1DX and 1D4, strapped across each shoulder, with a 400mm f/2.8L IS lens on each?  ;D
Surprisingly, no I don't!!!

Whenever I use my S5 (rarely), I get impressed from the results.

For comparison reasons here is a shot with my 30d + Zeiss 80-200 f/4 (I LOVE THIS LENS) :
