Breathtaking story, killer filmmaking about, probably, one of the most dangerous ways of living you can have.

I took this picture yesterday, and I really want to give this guys the best picture (and memory) possible.
So I would love to have some input from you guys on how to make the best out of this on Aperture or Photoshop.

So far I've done these changes:

Appreciate any help!

Hi there,

I'm strongly considering buying a 5dii, but I'm wondering if it would be wise to wait until photokina and see if prize goes down.

What do you think? will the prize of the 5dii change if a new entry full frame is introduced?

Portrait / Paranormal Activity: Levitation

I'm not sure if this post is the right category...
Anyway, I was looking around some old photos, and I came across these ones  ;D
They are a bit old, from before I really got into photography. But it made me think that I should do more of those fun photo-sessions doing crazy things. I miss that.

Did you ever or do you still do fun/crazy sessions?

Technical Support / Need help with upgrade decission!!

Hi guys. So this is the situation:
I'm lucky enough to earn some extra money doing some photo jobs (2-6 per month), mostly restaurant/food pictures for a website. And I have decided that this money will be re-invested in photography (or other hobbies).

For some months my thougt was to save money for a new PC. I have a late 2007 iMac, which is still doing fine, but I often find myself not being able to do post-production work because of the obvious portability issues with the iMac. So My thought was to by a MacBook pro/ Air.
So, with the money I have saved I could by:

   1.    A retina Macbook pro
   2.   13" Macbook Air (128GB storage with 8GB RAM upgrade) + New Tripod (my thought was MANFROTTO 055XPROB m/498RC2) + Lastolite Ezybox Hotshoe Kit (I'm starting to play a little with the 2 flashes I have)

On the other hand, I'm also quite tempted to by a new Camera. My 40D works OK mostly (it has though some very annoying, sporadical ERR 99 problems). But I have started doing some concert photography, and I have found it to be quite challenging even with my f1.4 lenses.

But, If I use my money on a new house (and maybe a couple of lenses if going full frame), I'm concerned that my (relatively) old iMac will struggle with the bigger file sizes that a the new camera will produce.

I'm afraid I'm losing the perspective here... What would you do???

Lenses / Help choosing a new medium tele prime
« on: February 23, 2012, 03:48:35 PM »
Hi. This is my first time righting in this forum, even though I have followed it for some time.

I'm into concert photography (mostly rock) and I'm currently using my canon 50mm 1.4 and sigma 30mm 1.4 on my 40d, when I shoot at concerts. I want to be able to get closer to the musicians, so I'm considering getting myself a new medium tele lens.

The options I've been looking into are:
1. Canon 85mm 1.8
2. Sigma 85mm 1.4
3. Canon 100mm 2.0
4. Canon 85mm 1.4 (I've seen this one be mentioned different places, but I can't find it anywhere for sale here in Denmark... :o

I would appreciate very much any advice, comment , suggestion.
