Thank you for suggestions. I heard the metro stations are something to behold.

Up till now means to this very minute, been using the combination and never had issues.

Never tried using a warming filter, they are not used that much now that we are in the digital era.

Would a 24 mm TS-E II or the 8-15 mm fisheye be good for this type of capture?

What sort of performance would I get if I put my 2x III on the 400 mm version II? Close to the 800 mm performance up til now?

Ive got one and can testify how good they are. Only problem I have is they put a cool blue cast on the pics. Otherwise, the best filters around. Good luck with the big stopper, youll love them but getting the timing right is a bit hit or miss.

Cast is easily correctable in post if shooting in RAW. Problem is.... they are fragile as &^%/2!

I should be visiting Stockholm mid-June and will have some free time outside of a conference to tour the city and photograph. Any particular sites to look forward to? I shoot mostly architecture and landscapes, particularly with long exposures processed in monochrome. Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards.

The older one yes, has a horrible cast. There are always new formulations

No glass ones, but there are filters from other companies made of resin with less colour cast than a Lee Big Stopper.

Get resin ones, shattered my Big Stopper during windy weather. Glass and wind do not mix well.

Where are you managing to buy Really Right Stuff from in Europe Charl? (I understand you reside in Sweden currently kind sir!)

Dear Sir or Madam,

there are quite a few shops which import the most excellent RRS parts. I can only speak for Germany, but I have been very satisfied with an online shop called 'augenblicke-eingefangen'. It takes a while until your highly desired toys arrive, but the packaging is very good and shock-resistant.

Thank you. They do not stock RRS tripods though.

Was getting second thoughts after I invested in a 400 mm f/2.8 recently, but seeing the delays and delays and even more delays on this piece of vaporware... no regrets.

Using the LP-e4N interchangeably between the 1DS III and the 1DX. No issues to report up till now.

The 24 mm version II, sharper and wide enough for my needs.
