Technical Support / Re: Memory card compatibility
« on: September 27, 2012, 12:23:55 PM »
Can someone tell me if a Lexar Professional ® 1000x CompactFlashcard 32Gb will work okay on a 1D IV?
Is the card faster then the camera?

Found the answer, they work okay.

Don't worry, its just being tested. http://www.darkenergysurvey.org/DECam/camera.shtml   If it works for them it should be okay for us to.

I am a current ( and not unhappy ) owner of the mark 1 and have been griping about the price, as in 'it has to be ff-ing good for that kind of cash', when it was annouced. Now it turns out it is that ff-ing good. I'm really thinking of getting the new version. Its only money. ;)

I turn the dialy thing on top of this big, black box to the green square thingy and press the little button on top with my finger.  There's this clicky sound, and I see a picture on the back of the box.  I haven't figured out why pressing the little zoom in/out buttons on the back doesn't zoom the big lens like it does on every other camera I've used, you'd think with a big lens like that it would work right.  Also, can someone tell me how to get that little picture it shows me on the back onto my Facebook page?

Lol. What r you going to do when that 1Dx black box arrives, it doesnt have a green square thingy?

And it's true that we Canadians do not like to be referred to as American. Nothing against our American brethren, but we have our own identity.

But aren't we all North Americans, 'eh?

BTW, I don't really think threadjacking applies here.  Where exactly is this thread going?  The 500 II and 600 II are delayed.  Again.  Again again.  Is that really a surprise to anyone at this point?  News flash: a Canon lens is delayed.  Sort of like a CR3 post that the sun will rise tomorrow or that water is wet.

Rich North Americans, if he gets asked the question when there coming every day.

Already people are seeing more vignetting on there lenses, probably also due to the sensor.

?
Maybe because they switched to a Full Frame !
Same vignetting on my 5D mark iii as on the 1ds/5d mark ii.

I was trying to be sarcastic.

Perhaps the reason that this shows up with the cap on is because the sensor is actually really really sensitive, more so than on older models, and that is why it seems to show up on the high end gear only.
IE: The same minor leaks as on all gear, but now the sensor can see it.

Boom.

Good one.

I still have old stuff, lucky me.

very juicy picture btw.
