So basically you can stay in bed and do bird-shots from there with this combo.  ;)

Technical Support / Re: LP-E4 for 1D IV or LP-E4N
« on: October 13, 2012, 05:39:47 PM »

Ill be keeping the new battery because they dont have LP-E4 anymore. Might be some time before the 1DX comes my way but its a start having the battery.  ;)

The diff between the 1D IV and 1D III are better AF, low light, IQ and last but not least the IV has 16MP. Specially shooting birds/wildlife the extra mp's helps.

They charge 438 Euro's for the charger, I will swap it.

Technical Support / LP-E4 for 1D IV or LP-E4N

Just got the LP-E4N delivered in stead of the LP-E4 that I ordered. Now can I use it in the Mark IV or not.
Dont want to try it out in case it blows up the camera.
I saw that on most of the online shops where I live the LP-E4 is no longer listed.

The output 11.1 V is the same only the capacity of the battery is higher, 2450mAh 28 Wh to 2300mAh 26 Wh.
Anybody with both camera's has any idea?

EOS Bodies / Re: 46.1mp Canon DSLR Previewed at PhotoPlus 2012? [CR1]

I think the Ds series always had sufficient AF and low ISO performance but still came at a prize.
This new 46.1 mp beast isnt going to be any different.
However I doubt that it is going to appear very soon. I think that Canon marketing came up with the idea of spreading a rumour of a very high mp camera  so people would think twice before taking the plunge to the D800.

A lesser Af system would mean taking a step back.
I used to have to focus manually but now with auto-focus  life has became peachy.;)

Can someone tell me if a Lexar Professional ® 1000x CompactFlashcard 32Gb will work okay on a 1D IV?
Is the card faster then the camera?

Found the answer, they work okay.

Don't worry, its just being tested.   If it works for them it should be okay for us to.

I am a current ( and not unhappy ) owner of the mark 1 and have been griping about the price, as in 'it has to be ff-ing good for that kind of cash', when it was annouced. Now it turns out it is that ff-ing good. I'm really thinking of getting the new version. Its only money. ;)

I turn the dialy thing on top of this big, black box to the green square thingy and press the little button on top with my finger.  There's this clicky sound, and I see a picture on the back of the box.  I haven't figured out why pressing the little zoom in/out buttons on the back doesn't zoom the big lens like it does on every other camera I've used, you'd think with a big lens like that it would work right.  Also, can someone tell me how to get that little picture it shows me on the back onto my Facebook page?

Lol. What r you going to do when that 1Dx black box arrives, it doesnt have a green square thingy?
