Maui sunset on honeymoon - one of the first pics I took with new 6D. Trying to learn Lightroom as well - if anyone has any tips or advice on the editing, please share!
Looks pretty nice to me!!
Thanks! Have always enjoyed your images and reviews on your website. I had emailed a question a while back about getting either Canon 70-300L or Tamron 70-200 f2.8 VC. Went with 70-300L for now as travel/vacation photos is my primary interest - was able to pick up a "like new", used copy for a great deal. Still considering adding the Tamron to my bag too as I'd like to have some better glass for my 6D.
Also wanted to ask if you had any tips/recommendations for shooting in the Lake Louise area (assuming you've been as a Canadian). My wife and myself are planning a trip for early next spring.
I've got two unexpected answers for you:
1) I'm actually an American, although I have lived in Canada for the past sixteen years.
2) I've actually not been to Lake Louise, although it is on my bucket list. It is one of the most beautiful spots anywhere, though, if pictures do it justice. Just remember that spring comes slowly in that part of the world.
Glad that the 70-300L is serving you well. It is a fantastic travel lens. It's good enough that I have enjoy been using it for some portrait shoots where I need a bit more depth of field anyway (shooting small groups/families).
