I Rise Before Dawn by Thousand Word Images by Dustin Abbott, on Flickr

Interesting picture Dustin, pleasing effect, very polished. I always find portrait used for landscapes quite challenging but this works well !

Thank you.  I find using a UWA lens this that my eye most naturally wants to shoot vertical compositions with it.  At 14mm you can really emphasize a foreground, and this lens is pretty amazingly sharp throughout the frame.  You can't see it at this magnification, but you can zoom in anywhere and the detail is there.

Here's a change of pace.  My old Helios does flare pretty badly.  It loses contrast like mad.  But like a lot of other things, it does it in a very artistic way.  I find I get memorable images even when it shows its defects.

Great image - the flare causing the steam to break up is a really interesting effect. The overall softness works very well with the tone. Nice.

Thanks.  The effect was pretty unique; I've not seen it in many other pics before.

Ah ! The Rokinon has made your Ford look like an Aston Martin. It must be a really good lens !

But why is the steering wheel on the wrong side ?

Yes, I think Ford may have "borrowed" some the design elements from its time of ownership of Aston.
