at 40mm, it's probably close to infinity focus.  My guess is that if you pixel peep at 100%, you'll be able to see areas that are just slightly out of focus.

Great capture Justin.  I've been practicing my "zoom" guessing, and my first inclination was 35mm... not bad :p.

You've pretty much nailed it.  It's all about where you focus.

Here's another from Israel.  This is the ancient city of Tiberius by night.  The body of water is the Sea of Galilee, or Lake Kenneret.

Another great shot Dustin. Nicely done.

The weather has been most uncooperative, this is from a timelapse that was shortened by heavy dew.

Lovely pictures emag. What were the settings and lens for the Orion shot? Where did you shoot it from? I liked the river shot too.

Thanks, guys.  Here's another - a dawn shot over the Sea of Galilee:

.....settings and lens for the Orion shot? Where did you shoot it from?.......

Thanks!  I used the 28-135 @28mm/f5.6, 15 seconds at ISO6400.  Big Lagoon state park in Pensacola, aimed over the intracoastal waterway / Gulf of Mexico.  Wonderful spot in winter, a horrible gnat and mosquito feed in warmer weather.  Had the Tokina 11-16 on my 60D at the same time, pointing east.  That was the last shoot with that lens, it sold on ebay as I was shooting with it that night.  Now I'm waiting for the RokSamBow 14/2.8 to arrive.

Thanks Carl.  Just recently, I've been asked to cover the concert/school graduation of my daughter (though my daughter is just one of the performers).  Here are some shots from it.  Low-light, moving kids, lots of shadows... Still no problem with my 6D.  It's a real high-ISO performer.

"Sayang Malaysia

Lovely photos, lovely kids, brought a smile to my face good stuff
