I'm buying one of these since the multi-display support is nice, but there are significant caveats to DisplayLink.

You need to run the DisplayLink software full-time which means that your Mac will always show the screen recording icon. It also disables unlock with Apple Watch, compresses the display feed, and doesn't support HDCP, so no Netflix, Hulu, iTunes Movies, etc.

Looks like a nice little hub, and probably a good deal at $115. I wouldn’t consider it at $249, there’s too much competition in that range to settle for 5G USB 3.2 gen 1. Unless you really need its particular combination of ports.
