Best Wordpress theme for Photographers
« on: July 06, 2014, 04:41:49 PM »
In this thread please post some of the best wordpress themes for photographers, paid or free.

I would like this thread to be a good resource/quick reference for anyone looking for a good theme that can fit their needs without having to do a million google searches for that perfect theme.

Thanks.

I use ePhoto by Elegant Themes. It's suited my needs pretty well over the years, however, when I updated the jQuery plugin last week the nav bar drop downs stopped working, but now the slideshow works on my wedding page!  ::) I've contacted a techie who told me how I need to fix it in the .php, I just have not had the time. I think I'll work on it again tonight though.

I too am interested to hear of others out there.

Cheers,
-Tabor

If I was redesigning my site for a portfolio, this is what I'd be using: http://demo.herothemes.com/?product=moda

That said, it depends a lot on what you want. If you're just showing off your work, there are a dozen ways to do that. If you're trying to make a business out of it, you'd need a completely different approach

That is an awesome theme. Pretty much checks all of the boxes for a photographer.

I had a hard time finding a wordpress theme for the site I wanted to build. But in the end, I chose Expression by Pexeto. You can find them in themeforest.net.

I'm just a hobbyist, not a professional photographer. I just need a place to show my expression of photography. The theme is pretty much a gallery-centric one, here is how it is when implemented on my site : http://www.dimatasaya.com

The Titan Theme from themeforest.net is very nice. Themeforest.net has also some other nice ones.

You can see an example of the theme applied at www.the-art-to-light.de

Have each picture tell a story.
