Do you consider this as moire?

Dolina; I suppose we need to learn how to fix moire in post. I have not seen any yet, but I guess that is just a matter of time.

I have not pushed high ISO much so far, but this is ISO2500. It is again just a hasty pp job on my laptop, where I have lifted shadows a bit, reduced highlight about the same and applied NR of 40 (luminance). The rest is default LR settings.

Since many have wondered about required shutter speed, given the high resolution, this is shot handheld at 1/30s, f6.3, with the 24-70 f2.8L II @26mm.

Butterfly shot with the 70-200 f2.8L IS II. This would have been rather useless on the 1DX, due to heavy cropping. But with the 5DSR I can crop A Lot and still have very usable images.

I think we are seeing the sheer number of pixels on target overcoming the Bayer effect, so in practice we are seeing better colour definition on the edges.

Makes me wonder what the Pentax pixel shift tech will do with a lower resolution sensor. Much more limited in its application of course, and in itself produces huge files - 120 raw from a 24 mp sensor, so probably not a lot ( or even any ?) advantage over the straight bayer array 50 mp sensor.

If they (Pentax) apply this to a 36 mp FF camera you would end up with a 180 meg raw file. Hmmmm........

You can only accurately look at moire at 100%. Not saying it isn't there, but the screen downsample is just as capable of inducing it, or exaggerating it, as anything else.
Too often we lose sight of the fact that photography is about capturing light, if we have the ability to take control of that light then we grow exponentially as photographers. More often than not the image is not about lens speed, sensor size, DR, MP's or AF, it is about the light.

There doesn't appear to be much of a pattern in the material and yet there it is.  Hmmm. . .

You can only see actual in the image moire at 100% screen view, anything less can be image to screen resampling. Look at the first image in this article.

P.S. The dropbox link os dead too so I can't see if it is real or not and if it is fixable.

Ladies and gents; We need more images here!!

This is shot with the last rays from the Cretan sun. First the whole uncropped image, then a small crop.
