Sandisk 64GB SD card in Eos 1D mark IV
« on: January 28, 2012, 09:40:13 AM »
Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with large format SD cards in the Canon EOS 1D mark IV? Until recently I used a Sandisk Extreme 32GB CF card (60MB/s) without problems.

Last week I bought a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB SD card (95MB/s) and the only thing I get is a camera failure: 'Card2 cannot be accessed. Reinsert/change the card or format with camera'.

Formatting with the camera is not possible. Using/formatting the card om my PC is no problem, it is also working perfectly fine in a $150 camera... Anyone any idea? Is the 1D4 not able to read 64GB cards? I tried a 4GB SD card also and that one works without problems.

MTIA, Maurice.
