Smart idea, a good hardcase & a padlock to keep it closed. Pelican et al. should sponser a few photographers and let them cases be flung about on the field and do it up as a promotional thing showing that there's no damage.

Could be commercial material  - I recall during a clumsy crosswind landing, one of the wings of an Airbus hit the ground and got damaged but the plane was able to fly still and took off. I heard Airbus used it as advertisement afterwards...
