If not tomorrow, when?
There's an event coming September 2 to September 3, the Canon EXPO 2010. This event comes every 5 years, there's no way Canon goes into it without showing the goods.
I've heard from a few sources about an August 11, 2010 announcement date. I have not confirmed this.
It will happen before the Canon EXPO 2010.
What will be announced?
We have the 2000D, 60D and 24-70 IS as the most talked about products.
What about the 1Ds Mark IV?
I have heard absolutely nothing about this camera for the last 2 weeks or so. I have no answers on the topic.

Given that 2010 is also a Photokina year, it’s certainly going to be an interesting month or two at the rumor mill.
No new Canon products until 2012… frankly it’s been awhile since something besides a rebel was announced. Pretty lame actually.

Maybe we should hire ‘Paul’ the octopus to predict when the 60D is coming out.. I’ve been waiting for it since last September.. Looking for a upgrade from the 1000D

From 21.09.-26.09.2010 we have the Photokina in Cologne, Germany. That is by far the biggest fair for photography in the world and the biggest photography event this year.
It’s absolutely sure, that Canon will announce new stuff some weeks before the Photokina starts (late August or early September)

So, What will is CR1 ? the announcement date? or the cameras that will be announced?
This event also showcases printers, movie camera’s, medical equipmnet and imaging products including cameras’ Its by invitation only and for businesses. So its unlikely to be a big as PhotoKina for SLR’s.

I agree. But then again all development has stalled. LIke CPU’s and TFT monitors.

For months i am following the rumors about a 60d. I dont believe it anymore to be announced soon. It´s taking far too long. I want to buy a new camera, not the 7d (too expensive) and not the 50d (too old is a new 60d is ci°oming). I dont know what is wise to do now……… Buy a 50d or a 550d?
Aden Camera has good prices and they have two stores I buy my stuff from them.

The 7D gets cheaper and cheaper – I’m wondering if there will be a gap for the 60D.
