  1. I bought my much lower specced version of this for $2499 when it came out. I bet for what I do (photography and light video editing) I'd see no noticeable difference with this model. It's difficult to calculate what makes most sense: 1. Buy a lower specced new model with really fast single core CPU performance, or 2: Wait a year or 2 and get a specced up version with slower single-core CPU, but vastly more storage and RAM. I have no answer for myself.
