Joy!
Only Canadians will really care, but we’ve put up with the WORST Canon corporate web site for way too long. It’s about time Canon Canada revamped it.

Thank you!

  • Finally!! It looks amazing compared to the old one. Thanks for the heads up! Kinda funny that the T2i isn’t on the main page while the 7D and T1i are.

  • With some luck they will update the registration process to cover more than just bodies online. I was trying for my new TS-E 24 II and the online of the old system stunk, so maybe the new one will work. Anyways, thanks for the news.

  • Congrats. Maybe they will update the USA site too. It has been static for years now. The CANON USA website shows you the difference between Nikon and Canon. Canon is a large corporation with DSLRs only being one part of their product line and that comes across loud and clear in their last rendition of their website. Back when they used the http://www.canoneos.com site exclusively for their EOS cameras you felt like they really cared about the photography customers. Now, not as much. Don’t get me wrong, I am a Canon user, always have been. I just feel like they don’t pay as much attention to their cameras and photographers as they did 10-15 years ago.

  • No Jeremie, the Italian one is by far the worst, for real.

Information is lacking, inaccurate, badly translated… As an example, try to find out information concerning, say, the Speedlite 580ex II… A third world website.
Oh, but, wait… Italy IS third world! Sadly, the only thing that works fine here is organized crime!

  • Many of the Canon websites look out of date, and have strange quirks. Each one seems to be maintained to be loosely connected to the others, but content is stored in different places and different content is available on different sites.

    They could be better.

  • The website is no good. Why? Because 24-70 f/2.8L IS is still not released, that’s why!

  • Nikon USA has a great site. I wish Canon’s content was better organized. As Scaleusa said, the content is there, it is just scattered and you can’t find it.

  • Open the above link without javascript… Bad Canon, very bad…;) it works though if you use the direct link you’d normally be redirected to.
