The Canon EOS R6 Mark III will arrive on November 6, and begin shipping soon after. The 6-series has been and will likely to continue to be Canon's best selling full-frame camera. I'm sure Canon wishes the launch price could be lower in the US, it will still come in at under $3000.
We have new, but unconfirmed specifications for the EOS R6 Mark III. There is nothing too earth shattering here, but this camera isn't something that is going to push the envelope of the higher-end cameras.

Conclusion
We likely won't get all the nitty gritty of video specifications and codecs. That stuff is always hard to come by until the official announcement is within 48-72 hours.
The unconfirmed specifications come from a good source, but the confirmed specifications are as close to 100% as I can get without having the camera in my hands. Which I don't and never will before something is announced.
I'm not shocked, and happy about seeing Dual UHS-II card slots. I'm actually interested in the R63, the R1 is too big to just bang around with. CFexpress Type B cards can still be expensive, and the target buyer for this camera will appreciate not having to buy memory cards that are far more expensive than SD.
If there is one thing I want to get confirmed ASAP; Full-Size HDMI Port! I was happy to leave the EOS R3 for the full-size port in the EOS R1. I bought and lost too many Micro-HDMI cables. I don't shoot video beyond overhead of basketball games, and that cable annoyed me to no end.
I have brought up the mechanical shutter a few times, and I would think I would have been told if Canon was doing away with it in the EOS R6 Mark III. This isn't a surprise at all, but new concepts are always fun.
I think a lot of the core specifications are pretty logical and shouldn't come as a surprise. Sure, we all want the world at an affordable price, but that just isn't how it works with cameras and lenses. I do hope that there is a surprise or two coming, and I'd like to know before the announcement.

But it would be interesting, which white lens is attached to that 2x extender 😉
Could this be a new one? Or is it an already released one?
We didn't report a rumor of a larger EVF for the R72 as far as I can recall.
The eyecup and the colour of the lugs.
0.9x equivalent OLED EVF with a higher resolution that the current 2.36m-Dot in the EOS R7 - everything we have been told about the R7mkii sep 20th. That implies it has to be bigger
The EVF could see a jump to 5.76M dots, pulled from the R5 Mark I, with improved refresh rate - Canon EOS R7 Mark II: Minor Tweaks or a Major Transformation? May 15th in now deleted article.
There's also been times where you've had "EOS R5 Mark II body size and layout" or some similar wording about it being larger that would again point to evf and eyecup etc being larger too.
I know a recent article kinda walked back on some that but you've mentioned it being bigger in the past a few times
The recent article was a wishlist...... anyway,.this isn't an R72 and this article has nothing to do with an R72 other than one paragraph that I thought was articulated well enough.
And I know I'm just pointing out that with everything that's been written about about the R7mkii on this site I don't think those points about the evf would necessarily confirm it's more likely a R6mkiii.
.....ok
1. The diopter dial is on the right side of the EVF, just like the R6 II and unlike the R7, where it is on the left.
2. There is a lock position inbetween the On and Off position, just as it can be found on the R6 II.
3. There seems to be a dial to the left of the EVF, possibly the stills/video switch as it can be found on the R6 II.
So unless the R7 II shares the nearly exact same body with the R6 III it is likely in my opinion that this is the R6 III.
Nothing there is wrong.
