Canon Releases New Firmware for the Cinema EOS C50

Canon has released the first firmware update for the Cinema EOS C50 bringing the current version up to 1.0.31. The update addresses a couple of bugs.

Firmware Version 1.0.3.1 incorporates the following enhancements:

  1. Fixes an issue, in which when the System Frequency is set to [59.94Hz], the Sensor Mode to [Full frame 3:2], the Shutter Speed to [1/4] or [1/8], and the Focus Breathing Correction to [On], the power cannot be turned on.
  2. Fixes an issue, in which footage captured by RAW recording with Slow & Fast Motion Recording set to 125P, 144P or 150P is corrupted.

An included detachable top handle equips you with two 3-pin XLR inputs as well as onboard controls for easy-to-reach adjustments.
