Haha....we should try to get her to wear a Santa hat next year. Granted...we aren't really those types of Pug owners, no Halloween costumes.
Yes, the R1 with the RF 50 f/1.2 @ f/2. I was also very pleased with the R1 eye-AF. It nailed shot after shot with me holding a treat in one hand, and just generally aiming the lens/camera at our Pug's head trying to get her to pose. Not looking through the viewfinder at all.

Next time you may try to put the treat on the barrel of the lens

We have two cats and no dogs, but we do pet sit this friendly old guy a couple of weeks a year. As you can see from his 'bed' he makes himself right at home. Which is fine, since the cats haven't used it even once.

One of my neighbors asked me to take photos of her dog... Now it's my favorite dog in the neighborhood! So cute little Doberman (I didn't know Dobermans could be that cute!!!). In the last two photos - he got in some deep foot-print and like a real Sherlock Holmes investigated who put that trap for him !
