Lot of people wants big video capabilities in the 5d4.. juste because... everyone do 4k, iphone can 4k, sony can 4k... but why do you want that in a pro-still image device ? just take a good and normal videocamera... and keep the still-photographers apart and keep calm.. or. just take your...

What Do You Want To See in the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV?

As an owner of a 5d III and some L lenses.. - no cinema features.. photographers don't care, and video guys can buy a canon xxC made for this purpose. - 4k we don't care.. for pure photos: - more dynamic range - nor better iso - more mpx? 30 ? - faster card slots - or 2 compact flash slots...

    Canon EOS 80D Talk [CR1]

I don't understand the people complaining about too big files.. hey, when you buy a 2000$ camera with one or more 800$ lenses.. what is the problem when you need a few harddrives of a few To for.. say 250 $.. and. what is the problem to buy a decent top-computer (core i7, 16 gb ram, 256 gb...

    Canon 120mp DSLR Information

To all those who think more Mpx is useless.. Yes, as home user and amateur photographer, yes. To landscape photographer and A3 or big poster, it makes already more sense. But, I have worked (as web-specialist) for a company who make interior decoration and ceiling (stretched-ceilings). Some...

I have a Core i7 3770 (3.4 Ghz), 32 Gb ssd-cache, 16 Gb ram, and a GTX970. Lightroom 6 works "instant", any change in development tool takes less than 1 seconds.. it is very fast...

Lightroom CC appears on the surface to be junk

This lightroom goes much faster than the lightroom 5. On my computer. About memory, I'm happy that lightroom can finally used over that 3 or 4 gb and not stucked with 32bits limitations. My computer is 3 years old but has a brand new graphic card. All works very well with lightroom and my...

LR 6 GPU acceleration requires OpenGL 3.3 - video card support

I'm happliy surprised !! I had Lightroom 4 and 5, and I was more and more waiting for performance improvement. I bought a 4k-screen last month, and with this high resolution, lightroom 5 was very very slow in develop mode. (when adjusting...). Lightroom 6 is way more fast ! in Develop mode...

Buy the New Lightroom Three Different Ways

@clicstudio: what a troll !! If you don't like to change your habits when discovering a new software, just keep with the older you are used to. I had Lightroom 4 and 5, and I was more and more waiting for performance improvement. I bought a 4k-screen, and with this high resolution, lightroom 5...

    Hoya Polarisationsfilter for Landscapes.

I have had many pola filters. normal Hoya, Hoya Pro 1, Hoya HRT, B+W, Hama... and finally I changed to a Hoya HD when I bought the 5DIII (Hoya HD for L lenses). Hoya HD are the most expensive, but are really the best. They allow a lot of light to come through, while in the same time making the...

    Sigma Big Glass Impressions

My wife has bought 2-3 years ago the sigma 120-300 DG OS HSM F2.8. For birds photography with her 7d. As it is too heavy, it is mainly me that I use it on my 5d3. But on a FF, it's a bit too short. I hesitate to buy a Canon 1.4 TC. I don't know if it fits well with a sigma, or if I should buy...

Question regarding sensor size and image quality

To the original question/ We should think also to the light ray in lens and sensor. bigger sensor, bigger lens, the light rays have more different angle (wide left, wide right). I think that play a role in the perspective-impression.. or "3d" effect... or "Real" photo/subject. FullFrame: / \...

    speedlite 270ex - broken?

Hi, - I have tried with a 2s speed.. same. - The ready light is almost aways on. - I have no test button. But the "depth of field" button make nothing. - I hear a very small "whine" but every 15s and only during 2-3s. Not the "dziiiiiii..." of a normal flash when it loads... That makes also...

    speedlite 270ex - broken?

Yes, that's the point. - for the 2 lasts photos, Exif says the flash fired. - I can see a tiny lightning when directly seeing it while taking a photo. But it's not powerful at all. So small that we see no change on the photo. - even with many new batteries

    speedlite 270ex - broken?

Ok, I did all. The photos are exported from Raw in lightroom, no processing and no adjustement at all. Only two sizes: more compressed and 700px jpg, and the original size with maximum jpg quality. 1) Manual without flash f4, 1/100, iso-400, no flash, 24-105l @ 32mm See the original (12 Mb) ...

    speedlite 270ex - broken?

I was in Av. between F4 and F8. I tried first with iso 400, then up to 4000, 6000, and late in the evening, 10000. I also tried "p" mode , and it was at 1/60. So these settings should be good with a flash: P mode, iso 400, 1/60.... focus: 9 central points. and no way to make the flash...

    speedlite 270ex - broken?

Hi, I have bought this spring a second-hand Speedlite 270 ex. (1st generation). It was ok, since the last weekend. We were at a wedding, as friends of the bride, and I made some amateur shots. At restaurant, I took the flash, and noticed the camera (5d mark iii) took it properly, but the...

Why do fast primes not have IS?

I think people want absolutely IS, but don't know why.. Cameras have good higher and higher ISO.. Very good lens have a lot of light... -> you can have enough light for fast speeds (> 1/100 or 150)... So why do we bother for IS.... I was useful when camera couldn't go (good) over ISO400...
