I know the point you're trying to make... there are tradeoffs to be made when increasing both. However it would be incorrect to say you cant increase DR and megapixels at the same time. Just look at sensors now vs. 10 years ago.

Correct, calibration doesn't matter since dual pixel AF focuses directly on the sensor (vs having a separate AF sensor/chip in dSLRs)

Let's say canon came out with FF mirrorless with the same sensor and features as the 5DIV. Would there be any reason to still get DSLRS? assuming same price
